Melissa is a fishnet clad cheerleader, short fused with an even shorter skirt. Abigail, a drama nerd mercilessly bullied after a much rumored absence from school. Despite their social differences, both begin navigating the halls of high school in similar fashion: exploring the power of their new found sexuality. When substitute drama teacher Jeremy Woods (Chris Messina) appears in class both girls set their sights on capturing his attention, manipulating his fresh faced optimism while testing the limits of appropriate behavior. As Melissa and Abigail fight it out, secrets rise to the surface and hearts are broken in this subtly profound, suburban coming of age story. Quinn Shephard was twenty years old when she wrote, directed and co-starred in this feature film debut, exhibiting a preternatural maturity from all sides of the camera.
