Camp Citizen Jane
Five years of inspiring young women to explore their story
A key part of the Citizen Jane commitment, our film camps provide young women with access to the tools of filmmaking. Now we invite you to explore our 2016 camps for young filmmakers (and all young women with a story to tell). Girls only!
Middle School Film Camp
July 11-15 | 9 a.m.-4 pm.
Entering Grades 6-9
It’s your turn to tell your story, your way, with our girls-only film camp. Explore the industry basics of filmmaking: screenwriting, directing, cinematography, lighting, sound and editing—and how girls and women are portrayed in life and media. You’ll get to work on a PSA, short fiction film and documentary, too.
Cost: $295
High School Film Camp
July 18-22 | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Entering Grades 9-12
Camp Citizen Jane empowers young women to tell their story, their way. It’s all part of our mission to have more women represented in film and the film industry. It’s also an amazing way to get creative, learn to collaborate and build leadership skills. (And you’ll have access to Stephens’ film equipment, students and faculty.) You may even prepare your film for a film festival.
Cost: $295

Camp Citizen Jane 2015 was a great success. We are so proud of the short films, public service announcements and music videos that our students wrote, filmed, produced and directed this year.
