CJ Film Series
In addition to the film festival held every fall, the Citizen Jane Institute at Stephens College continues to support and celebrate female filmmakers through an ongoing film series on campus all year. We host artists-in-residence to screen and discuss their films and host professional filmmaker workshops. This allows all of us to continue the conversation about how to increase the number of women working as writers, producers, directors and filmmakers. It also gives our digital filmmaking students industry expertise and connections.
Upcoming sessions will be announced later in the fall.
Recent past guests have included Cathryn Michon and Bruce Cameron, who screened “Muffin Top,” Guinevere Turner, who presented a Master Class on Screenwriting, Kimberly Skyrme, director of “House of Cards,” who shared behind-the-scene stories and hosted a casting workshop and Jill Wheeler and Jon Fitzgerald, who screened and discussed “Warrior One.”
Other past guests include: Kimberly Bautista, Laura Goode Meera Menon, Kathy Byrne, Maureen O’Brien, Tricia Brock, Jennifer Livingston, Jennifer Hawks and Joni Tackette.
