 Citizen Koch, made by documentary filmmakers Carl Dean and Tia Lessin, focuses on David Koch and the state of Wisconsin, and is about who really influences politicians. The documentary featured at Sundance and afterwards was supposed to air on PBS. This was a huge deal for the film as it meant funding for distribution and would help raise awareness. Today I was going to do a look into feminism in feature length animation films. It was going to be a joyous traipse back through the works of Miyazaki as well as a more critical look at Disney, while still giving them props for all the change and growth they've had since Snow White premiered in the 1930s.Seriously it was going to be awesome. But since the release of The Lone Ranger I can't imagine thinking "progressive" and "Disney" in the same sentence. ...
